HI everyone!!
So this is part 2 kitchen makeover also there is some thing that we did not expected when we plan to change our countertops.
First, the place where we order our countertops did not provide bracket installation. It's because our old countertops is laminate, that why the stud did not need a bracket to hold the weight of old laminate countertops. Then since we change it to quartz and its heavier , we need to put a bracket before they install the Quarts.
The bracket it self cost 30$/pcs and you can install yourself or hire handyman.
Thus we try to asked estimation fee for hiring handyman which is around 600$ that why we finally decided to put the bracket by our self.
furthermore ,after Quartz countertops installed we need to pay a plumber to attached the pipe back and it cost us around 200$.
Here is the detail of money we spend :
Behr Paint galon $50
Bracket (we use 7 pcs) $210
Faucet Fairbury stainless steel we buy from home depo $139
Plumber fee $200
Mandara 1-1/4 inch (32 mm) champagne bronze cabinet knobs - $2.98/pcs @18 buy from home depo as well
Quartz Countertops $4110 ( material & installation)
Overall we spend around $4,762 .
At the beginning we did not expected gonna spend this much not including the time we spend to painting and attached the bracket. but then after see how beautiful our kitchen transform, i said it worth the effort and money.
