Across the African continent, traditional norms emphasize community, balance, and a recognition of interdependence. Irrespective of skin color, we are all part of the African Diaspora and these principles can serve us to expand our vision of coaching.

Thaïs Yafet is a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Consultant and Leadership Coach, with 15 years of experience creating safe spaces for people to be themselves. In 2010 she was awarded the Grand Prize for “Women Driving Progress” by Essence Magazine and Ford Motor Corp., for her entrepreneurial and global business endeavors in the garment manufacturing, logistics, retail and tech sectors. She’s held executive roles in fashion and skincare, working across 55 different countries from the board room to the shop floor, creating collaborative workspaces that deliver. Her passion is helping people and organizations achieve their purpose, values and goals.

Issac Carter, Ph.D., is the Founder of the Coaching Imperative and is a DEI Strategist and Executive Coach, Certified EQ Assessor & Practitioner, Black Male Feminist, and Musician. For over 25 years, Issac has helped individuals and institutions understand, embrace, and leverage diversity. Issac's experience includes several senior-level roles focused on personal and professional development.
