On Tuesday, August 17th, 2021, I woke up very early to try and catch a very late K99 going through Manassas, Virginia. K99 usually works Powell Yard in Manassas around 5:30 A.M. but was still at Charlottesville at that time. After K99 left, I stayed around to catch my favorite train through here, K90. Led by the usual power, the train today was rather short but all of the locomotives were working very hard. Interestingly, as the gates went down and the train approached, a few individuals decided that it was a good time to cross the tracks risking their lives. I nominate them for the Darwin Award.
