This is honestly quite common for foreigners moving into SG for work in tech, banking, consulting, and white collar jobs. Another friend was placed at a hotel for 4 months and this girl was chilling. Because of Covid, I’m sure companies are doing more to make their new employees happy.
It helps with the transition of moving to a new country and giving time for him/her to settle in.
If you work for a FAANG company (or something along the same level), you’ll get taken care of. That’s why it’s so hard to leave a comfortable tech job—that’s why we call it the golden handcuffs, folks.
