Unexpected brilliance and classic Mustang handling and design embody the Ford Mustang Mach E-4. Prided on power and zero emissions, it’s absolutely deserving of a feature at Canada’s Best Luxury Website. One thing is certain after experiencing the Mustang Mach-E drive, interior detail paired with enhanced drive sensations mean excitement. Mustang Mach-E lives up to it’s tagline ‘Exhilaration Electrified’ - a super charged drive and an electric SUV that emerges with top of the line tech. Regarding Luxury gets you as close as you can get to the Ford Mustang Mach E without grabbing the wheel by highlighting all the standout features here.

Head-turning exterior design in aptly-named Iconic Silver Metallic paint with e-latch doors offers a futuristic presentation of Mustang that wows every car enthusiast. A great number of people love to watch this car go by. Recognizable Mustang features, Mustang pony graphic logo emblazoned up front, active grille shutters, sleek body design, auto highbeam and LED lamps with sequential tail lamp rear turn signals stand out on the exterior. Being a 5-seater, this vehicle has exceptional cargo space and a drainable front drunk or “frunk” for even more space. 19” painted aluminum wheels with a black painted roof complete the exterior look. Sporting a 68KWH usable std battery, single speed transmission and a 370 KM range, Mustang Mach-E goes from 0-60 MPH in 5.8 seconds and peak torque is an astonishing 428 lb.-ft. In terms of electric vehicles, the Mach E Mustang does use it’s energy quickly but on the flip side offers up to 115KW DC fast charge capability. Finally, one of my ultimate favourite features on any of the Ford Fleet has to be the hands free lift gate. Approach the rear bumper with key fob in your pocket and open the trunk by swiping your foot under the bumper. This works only when key fob is detectable and the lift gate can be easily closed with the simple push of a button.

Unique interior elements include ambient lighting, push button start, automatic rain sensing windshield wipers. Ford Co-Pilot 360, reverse brake assist, reverse sensing system, post-impact braking, BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with cross traffic alert, and lane keeping add an extra level of driver protection and confidence. Of course, this model also utilizes intelligent adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, lane centering, and speed sign recognition. Power windows, seats and mirrors go along with functionality and the interior sports one of the largest touch-display screens I have had the pleasure of seeing in a 2021 vehicle on the market today at 10.2”. A rotary gear shift dial and smart USB ports make up the middle console along with a wireless smartphone charging pad.
Astonishingly, this vehicle can be set up to use your smartphone as a key. Regenerative breaking and smart drive modes allow the driver to maximize battery use at all costs. Most interesting and in my opinion, debatable as to the extent it preserves battery life is the one-pedal drive feature. In One-Pedal drive, the driver uses only the acceleration pedal to accelerate and upon releasing the pedal, the Mustang Mach-E begins self-breaking while sensing and breaking for the conditions at hand: stop sign or traffic ahead. While it is said that using One-Pedal drive can extend battery life, I remain somewhat unconvinced as the type of driver who often “coasts” using existing vehicle momentum to maximize range. One-pedal drive effectively kills momentum upon releasing the acceleration pedal and I noticed very little, if any, preservation of battery life by way of regenerative breaking. In line with luxury, the heated seats and steering wheel and ultra-comfortable plush leather seating envelope the driver in richness.

If Mustang is a status symbol, the Ford Mustang Mach-E4 oozes affluence. The vehicle draws in Mustang fans new and old while offering an impressive show of futuristic features inside and out. Car lovers approached the vehicle hands outstretched to literally feel the enticing design in awe of “SUV” Mustang and their jaws dropped upon learning it’s fully electric. Additionally, it’s one of the most fast and powerful electric vehicles I’ve ever had the pleasure of driving!
