How to read a Bearing from a Topographic Map

Bearings are used by geographers to give an accurate indication of direction from one location on a map to another. Bearings are essentially an angle that is measured clockwise from the zero degrees with north as the starting point.
The topographic map and photographs are from Kairijini National Park, Western Australia.
