TODAY'S GOSPEL: Luke 6:1-5
The Gospel of Luke reminds us of the value of laws in the Church and in our everyday life. The law is created for man; man is not created for the law. As such, the laws must always embody the values of what we believe in as a community. Laws must not oppress, but help us attain freedom. In the same vein, the Sabbath was made for man, and not the other way around. So let us be inspired by the mass to see the greater goodness that God has for us. Today, let us reflect on how the mass and the laws of our land can enable us to share the mercy and compassion of God with those who are suffering. Reflect more on this as we celebrate the Kapamilya Daily Mass today, September 4, 2021, with Father Tito Caluag.
