Private Provider Voices: Part 2

Private Provider Voices: Part 2

SHOPS Plus produced this video for the International Conference on Family Planning virtual forum held in February 2021. The video highlights the important contribution of private providers to family planning, shows the sector’s diversity, and underscores the fact that private providers serve all: wealth, poor, rural, urban, and youth populations.

Part One introduces private health care providers from East Africa, West Africa, and Asia. It shows the range of actors and what motivates them. Part Two (this video) highlights the youth perspective.

The video was made possible by the contributions of many. We would like to thank all of the individuals who gave interviews:

Dr. John Agbo, Subhadeep Bhattacharya, Victoria Ekanem, Paola Escoria, John Joseph, Paul Legrand, Danny Mutembe, Muzhgan Nazhat, Elizabeth Ombech, Jiblal Pokharel, Sushmita Pandey, Dr. Isidore Yama, and Souleymane Yéré.

We are grateful for the support of ICFP’s private sector sub-committee, especially Andrea Bare, Marguerite Farrell, Fred Gyaviira Kayaka, and Caroline Quijada.

Special thanks to those who facilitated the filming: Norbert de Ada, Nora Quesada Kate Rademacher, Shreeya Rai, and Aissatou Thioye.
We acknowledge the outstanding work of the video production company Five Pebbles.
