Victoria and the ACT will ‘most likely’ come out of lockdown when NSW does

Sky News political editor Andrew Clennell says Victoria and the ACT will “most likely” come out of lockdown when New South Wales does.

“I’ve long held the view … or for a few weeks at least … Victoria and the ACT will most likely come out of lockdown when New South Wales does,” he said.

“They have zero COVID policies, and they’re not going to get there, and Delta’s just so transmissible.”

Mr Clennell said while Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has not been saying it “outright,” he is moving towards living with COVID in the state.

“That will mean a gradual unwinding of restrictions.”
