The federal government's emergency cash payments for people in lockdown will begin to be phased out this week as NSW hit the 70 percent vaccination target.
A raft of changes to the commonwealth COVID-19 disaster payments will come into effect this week for NSW and begin over the the next few weeks for the rest of the country.
The $750 emergency cash payment will no longer exist. The first trigger point is when a state hits the 70% vaccination rate.
Those who would have been working 8 hours a week or more will have to reapply weekly for their COVID Disaster Payments.
At 80% vaccination, the payments are quickly phased out.
