Taxi violence leaves 8 vehicles torched, shops looted in Gqeberha

Three shops were petrol bombed at KwaZakhele township in Gqeberha on Wednesday night.

The attacks followed a clash between taxi operators and foreign nationals in another area of the city.

Eight (8) mini-bus taxis were burnt to the ground at Korsten.

The incident was allegedly sparked off by a collision between a taxi and a car driven by a foreign national.
