Marshall asks those entering SA to be double vaccinated and to get COVID tested

South Australia Premier Steven Marshall has asked those coming into the state once the borders come down on November 23 to be double vaccinated and undergo a COVID test 72 hours before entry.

“We’re also asking those people that are coming in from areas like New South Wales and Victoria and the ACT to have a test 72 hours before they come into South Australia,” Mr Marshall said.

“They don't need to get the result, but they do need to have that test done. This is another layer of protection for South Australia.

“And for those jurisdictions that are between 80 per cent and 90 per cent, we’re asking them to also have a test on arrival. They don't need to isolate before they get that test result, but what we’re doing is opening the borders but doing it in a way that is safe for South Australians.

“We are the first jurisdiction in the entire country that is COVID-free, that is lifting our borders; now there is some risks associated with this and that’s why we’re putting these speed humps in the way of the disease taking hold in South Australia.”
