Why Dubai is Terribly Designed?

Cities exist in a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from skyscraping metropolises to up-and-coming towns that are breaking the paradigm of the "big town." However, one simple truth comes with all of this diversity: no city is flawless. While they are constantly evolving, much like live people, their systems do experience breakdowns from time to time. Just ask anyone who's ever been stuck in traffic congestion or on a subway car that's been overcrowded. Greetings, and welcome to The-Interesting-Flow, where today we shall discuss why Dubai is so horribly designed!

It may come as a surprise to many that this city makes the list, given that it is one of the world's fastest-expanding economies, but Dubai comes in at number nine on this list when it comes to cities that are horribly designed. It is one of the world's fastest-growing economies, after all. It's difficult to reconcile the expanding number of skyscrapers and residential complexes that are taking up hundreds of acres of land with one another. Throughout the metropolis, vast motorways connect one enormous development to another, linking the entire structure of the city together. Walking around the city is next to impossible as a result of this, and this city, in general, is lacking in shared public places, which is a shame. Parks and squares that promote social interaction are absent from Dubai, which is instead dominated by massive shopping malls and indoor ski resorts instead. Avoid Dubai if you are seeking a city where you can get to know your neighbors, enjoy a picnic in the park, or simply get some fresh air.
