If you are a suicide attempt survivor... the period after the attempt is a crucial one.
You may feel vulnerable and raw in ways you have never felt before, possibly even more so than before the suicide attempt. But the main goal of this period is to get through it. Try to identify and acknowledge your emotions. This will make you feel less overwhelmed and more in control. Ultimately, we are all responsible for taking care of our own mental health.
You need to give yourself space both physically and mentally to let yourself heal. View this as an opportunity to change your relationship with yourself for the better.
Are you a survivor of a suicide attempt? How did you improve your relationship with yourself?
