Unable to bear the burden of the soaring fuel prices, many people in Bihar have now shifted to cycle to either commute to their workplaces or to travel nearby places. Bihar, where a large chunk of the population in below poverty line and a significant chunk falls under middle class are more worried as the fuel price hike and inflation has brought difficult times for them. Several citizens are now considering stop using their bikes and looking for an economic alternative. Many have already lost their source of livelihood due to the COVID lockdown and now the petrol, diesel prices are an addition to their burden to their survival. As of today, Petrol is being sold at Rs 105.71 per litre and diesel at Rs 97.18 per litre.
