To use a concrete moisture meter to locate where to place an RH probe is not the most efficient use of a Tramex concrete moisture meter.
Our concrete moisture meters, unlike others, take actual quantitative % moisture content measurements of the liquid moisture in the top 3/4" of the concrete slab and extend that measurement into the body of the slab with our concrete moisture probe (works with CME5 and CMEX5). This takes moisture measurement in concrete to a new level as it creates the first uniform test method for in-situ and surface measurements giving a clear picture with correlating data. This is data that the RH probe can't see. An RH probe measures the vapor moisture in the available air space within the concrete slab. An RH reading alone is not enough information to clearly determine the readiness of a concrete slab to receive a floor covering or coating.
