IOM praises effort to combat human trafficking in Panama

Panama City, Jul 30 .- The head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Panama, Santiago Paz, applauded this Friday the "important institutional apparatus" of the country to combat the "latent" problem of human trafficking.
"The problem is still latent. A very important effort has been made through IOM in conjunction with the Panamanian authorities in the field of providing technical cooperation based on institutional strengthening," Paz said in an interview with Efe. (Camera: CARLOS LEMOS).
