Originally a Christian hymn it was changed around and modified.
A reworked version of the song, intended as a funeral hymn, was written by A. P. Carter.
It has been performed by various artists - including Bob Dylan & The Band, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and The Doors.
This backing is in the style of the Jimmy Martin version.
The video contains old photos of my Mum & Dad.
