More than 140 baby seahorses were introduced to their new home in ‘seahorse hotels’ on the ocean floor of the Sydney Harbor in Australia. The aquarium-bred baby Sydney seahorses are part of a threatened species recovery project by SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium to replenish ‘Australia’s only threatened seahorse species.’ Their populations are declining due to habitat loss and degradation, the aquarium said.
