'DON'T WAIT FOR GOVERNMENT JOBS, THINK OF EMPLOYING YOURSELVES!' KENYAN YOUTHS URGED!!

The government spokeman Col. Rtd Cyrus Oguna has urged students to all time learn to think of employing themselves and not waiting employment offer from government.

Speaking during a career day for the fourth year students at Chuka university Oguna observed that the government has put in place proper mechanisms to create opportunities for youth in employment sector.

He stated that there is idle money lying in banks set for youths but decried youths were hesitant to apply this money.

The spokeman said the government had completely reduced the paper work because many youths do not want to use that opportunity to benefit.

He said the government has come up with mechanisms and programs to educate graduated on the job opportunities and how they can go about them.

Mbogo urged youths to apply for money which the government has set aside to help the youths like Uwezo Fund.

He said youth money is interest free and youths won't be charged any income for the money they have been given by the government.

Chuka university vice chancellor Prof. Erustus Njoka urged students to deploy the knowledge acquired to better their lives and community.

A university is somewhere to impact the lives of people using the knowledge acquired.

Njoka said there is a mechanism in Chuka university to advise students on the course they choose in regards to job market.
