This is the best mantra for when you feel overwhelmed or stressed | Mel Robbins

Today is #StressAwareness Day (for you, maybe every day feels like Stress Awareness Day because you’re so aware of how stressed out you are! 😉)

The next time you feel stressed, just put your hands on your heart and say these three sentences on repeat:

I’m okay.
I’m safe.
I’m loved.

I call this “high fiving your heart.” It’s a great way to calm your nervous system.

Say it to yourself or out loud. Some days you’ll say it once, some days you’ll need to say it 30 times.

I do this every single morning as soon as I wake up, and it’s had a profound impact on my nervous system, my mindset, and the quality of my day.

When I wake up feeling anxious, this mantra always grounds me in the present moment. When you start your morning centered and feeling in control, you set yourself up to carry that feeling through the rest of your day. You will instantly move from #StressAwarenessDay to SELF Awareness Day.

Try it right now. Close your eyes and give your heart a high five.
